There is no reason to stress. There are MANY people who have a low thyroid level. It is called Hypothyroidism. I have had it since I was 16. Based on how low your levels are, your doctor will give you a prescription of Synthroid, usually 75 mg at first. You will take it once a day to replace the hormones that your thyroid isn't producing. After you start on the medication, your symptoms will improve, and you should feel back to normal. You may have to take it for the rest of your life, like me, but in some cases, the thyroid will kick back into gear, and begin producing hormones again. Here is a good link to read about it...
