Wowed you or opposite effect?PLEASE don't say well cause Johnnys in it its great!!! Please go purely by the 'film'. If you thought something was missing what was it?

I thought it was great how it was brilliant film

I thought it was a wicked film. Love the acting (Sacha Baron Cohen was fantastic) and the music. Even the singing was terrific - I know they're not trained singers but it's better that they use the actors voices and didn't dub them, it suited the mood.I haven't seen Sondheim's stage play that the film was based on but my understanding is that he loved the film, so that's good enough for me.

I thought it was a fairly complete and intellectually stimulating movie, and I generally despise musicals.

It wowed me! I thought it was a fantastic film. I love how dark it is - the story itself as well as the appearance (set, lighting etc). I wasn't expecting to enjoy it, the idea of a dark and gory musical seemed a bit odd but it really works.And I know you don't want Johnny comments but he does play that part really well, you can see the "vengance" in his eyes!If pushed, my only criticism would be that the end doesn't feel like the end to me - I want all the loose ends nicely tied up!All in all, great film for lots of reasons, and one of favourites.Oh, and my partner has studied film and she loves it!!
