Default What do the Washington Wizards need to get over the hump? What do they really need...

...to do? Is it for them to be 100% healthy. Well when healthy they were really good. Back in 07 the wizards were the #1 team in the eastern conference for quite some time. Which led their coach to coach the all-star team. Or do they need to make drastic changes to the roster. Get rid of Arenas, Jamison or Mason? Moving ether Arenas or Jamison will give them enough cap space to get a good free agent this summer. So if they do keep all 3 players, then they wont have enough money to get a free agent who can come in and produce right away. But if they do keep all 3 what about the draft? What do we do with the picks. The Wizards dont want to get any younger. With Mason coming back what to do about Nick Young? He wont see that many minutes if Mason comes back. But why not bring mason back after he helped us win so many games? What about that memphis trade-Washington Wizards Receives Memphis' 2008 first-round pick protected top-19 in 2008, top-16 in 2009, top-14 from 2010-12 and top-12 in 2013.And I believe the Arenas is a better PG then AD. AD Is just a passer. There is a difference between just passing and setting your team mates up. When arenas came back he was mostly looking to set his guys up for easy baskets. Thats why I think he is a better PG, plus he can shoot the ball much, much better then AD.

Very difficult situation, the Wizards have one of the most puzzling off-season situations of any team as they have arrived at a real crossroads. In my opinion, Gilbert needs to be traded. I know that is sinful to say around this city, but his me-first star attitude has not, and will not likely change. The team performed very well without him, and would benefit from a player picked up in a trade. I am thinking a big man that would replace Haywood and give them a body to rebound and to play defense. Haywood had a decent season so his trade value is probably at an all time high right now. Mason is a valuable shooter and needs to be kept, although it is too early to put the verdict out on Nick Young, I say let him stay another year and hope he doesnt end up like Jarvis Hayes. Songalia needs to stay, so do Butler and Jamison obviously. Daniels is predominantly error free but doesnt seem to win games for teams. He can be traded with Mason and Young filling in for him. Keep Pecherov, Blatche (hope for a few more pounds in the off-season and a break-through year or else he is out of here) and MaGuire who will be very valuable on defense next year. It really pains me to say this but I think Arenas is doing more to handcuff the organization than to free it. His recent statements on contract ultimatums with Jamison prove that he has not really matured at all. He needs to go.

mainly stay healthy, play some defense and move the ball better. with jamison, arenas and butler the talent is as good as any in the league. haywood is a serviceable center, blatche, songaila, thomas, daniels, stevenson, mason and young are all good role players. their overall roster is as good as any in the league. less yapping and trash talk would certainly help. i think jordan is a good coach but most times it seems like the inmates are running the asylum.
